Surtitle Displays

Surtitles, sometimes also known as supertitles or subtitles, are translated or transcribed lyrics and dialogue displayed on a screen, commonly used in opera or other musical performances.  Our Surtitle software is FREE, and can be used with many different sized displays from our range. The software has different modes, from simple scrolling up dialogue, to multi-language and dynamic modes. If you are interested in a surtitle system for your theatre, please Contact Us

We already have many professional and amateur companies across the globe using our Surtitle display system. Spectra supplies our own proprietary software to control the surtitle display. It is possible to write your own software, based on ours, as Surrey Opera have done. Surrey Opera have been generous enough to release their software for use with our displays on a supplied as-is basis.

This software includes the following features:

• Stage management cues
• Actor name
• Libretto/script references
• Musical score references
• Operator notes
• Mimic display to show on stage text
• Dark screen design for program (to minimise glare in low light of auditorium or lighting box)
