PLC Controlled LED Display

When used as a slave display for a PLC, Spectra's LED scrolling message displays can automatically provide dynamic real time production data for all staff and visitors to see.

For the LED display to be used as a slave display for a PLC, the LED display needs to be in RAM mode (which needs to be set prior to shipping). So, be sure to advise that it will be used with a PLC at the time of order.

The PLC needs to send an ASCII character string formatted in such a way that the display understands it. Command codes set the display colour (except on single colour displays), the font and the reveal method (HOLD, FLASH, ROLL LEFT, etc), we can provide documentation and example of how to do this.
