Full Matrix LED
All of our standard LED Dislays are full matrix rather than line matrix. This means that if you buy a 4 line LED display you can show, 1, 2, 3 or 4 lines of text on it in different font sizes. In fact, you can show 6 lines on this 4 line display using our 5 pixel high font. With different LED Display pixel pitches it is possible to achieve different text heights.
With a Full Matrix LED Sign, you can show a large number of different text sizes, as well as graphics and using our new Animation Display you can also show moving animations.
As you can see, older style LED signs have a line matrix and can show 5 lines of text (in this example), but that is all it can do thus limiting their flexibility and usefulness. This is why all of our HX high quality displays are full matrix to ensure a flexible display that will be useful for a prolonged period.
